A summer worker pulls the tassels out of female seed corn plants three miles outside of Prophetstown with a crew of 26 young adults from Moline High School. To walk down and back one row of corn is 3/4 of a mile and workers will do that about 7 times in a day.

Moline Police take a man who is suspected in several home invasions from earlier in the day into custody Saturday afternoon in the 1800 block of 25th Street in Moline. Residents in the area noticed the man looking in windows and helped direct police to his hiding place inside of an apartment building. Police seized several items from the suspect, including drugs.
